Jan’s

In the house next door,
a mother dying.  What do
we do?  We bake bread.

How many passes
of Orion before we
return to stardust?

Love, love, love until
the very last breath, and then
at last, become love.

  1. The first and middle stanza are extremely strong, but I feel the third stanza could made powerful with another action or imagery. I really enjoyed this, and if you re-draft it, I’d love to see it as a submission to Walking Is Still Honest Press. Cheers!
